Solstice

Technophobe and I have come up to our Keswick cottage for Christmas.  It is well out of the flood area and the centre of Keswick seems fine although it's awfully quiet.  We even managed to get a table in The Dog & Gun!

Our journey up involved present drops and a shopping trip with Jane's dad so we didn't get here till after dark.  We decided to detour via Castlerigg and this 30 second exposure was by moonlight.  Jane says she doesn't like it as it looks like daylight.   It reminds me of those 60's films where the night shots were just daylight through a dark filter.

There was a family wild camping in their motorhome at Castlerigg and they were a bit gobsmacked to see us trying to take photos in the dark.
