PhotoJournal

OK, so I started Blip 2 years ago... seems a long time. I made my year and a bit more without any gaps. Now there are many.

This (in the picture) is my "other" photo journal. It seems to me that it's too easy to take a million digital photographs, and leave them doing nothing on a hard drive. That's why I bought the polaroid camera, and why I bought film for my step dad's old camera. I wanted to get back to the magic of photography.

Mathew spotted this when we were in Liverpool the weekend before last, and suggested I buy it. Seemed a brilliant idea. It was before I set my heart on a polaroid but I'd already completed the 120 film, and I'd been thinking of printing off some of my favourite digital efforts anyway.

Analogue photography is definitely more of an art. All that's in this so far is the four failed polaroids from yesterday.

The "book rest" is indeed my iPad. I thought it symbolised the symbiosis of digital and analogue approaches to taking and viewing photographs, reading literature, and living in the 21st Century. It's true, I did think this. About three minutes ago, long after I grabbed it as something convenient to rest the journal on.

In other news: new program at the gym today; beasted the cardio, reckon it will really help with fat club. And came 10th in pub quiz. Pretty poor, but not so bad when you consider there were 19 teams :)
