Grace

Off to Leek to see my Nan, who’s featured here before a couple of times, though not since February 2014 it seems. Since then she’s been diagnosed with dementia and she’s now in a nursing home in nearby Cheddleton. She’s often sad these days and apparently sometimes pretty angry too, though we tend not to see that side of things since the kids visiting especially always seems to cheer her up. I rather superstitiously tend not to take my camera in for fear that I’m somehow prematurely memorialising her but one of the staff gave us this card today with her picture on and it’s such a good snap that I’m going to shamelessly nick it for my own…
