Toy story 2

The house has been transformed into a scene from Toy Story with themed decorations in every room downstairs and all for the love of one lil girl called Cara , 2 years old today !
The planning for the kids birthdays takes me weeks , I love to plan how I will decorate the house , what theme , what the cake will be like etc etc
This year Cara developed an obsession with toy story and so the theme was easily picked!
Our celebrations are quite notorious and I'm sure plenty of people think we go Ott for their birthdays , Halloween and Christmas but behind it is a promise I made myself when I had Alex.
As a child with two parents holding down pretty mammoth work schedules we didn't really have the time for the big celebrations , everything was celebrated but not lavishly and I never had a birthday party in my life ! What a poor deprived child I was ;) so when I had Alex I decided I would go the extra mile on the occasions so in years to come they will look back on the pics and think 'wow'
I hope we achieved it again with Cara's 2nd birthday theme , her face when she came down to the finished article will stay with me forever and I felt proud that me and Jonathan are lucky we can do this for the kids ( thanks also to the worked grandparents who revel in their grand kids celebrations )
I look forward to her next birthday and whatever the theme may be , yet with a heavy heart as I see my 'baby' grow older and wish I could rewind the clock to those precious newborn moments which were some of the happiest times of my life.
