Better late than never

Finally got around to decorating a Christmas tree today

Fair enough it was Chris's Christmas tree but still it has got me feeling a little bit more festive. And I don't think I did a terrible job

Another laid back day today, late start and sofa morning. Then Chris drove us to Newcastle where we did a little shopping, went to look in a pretty neat craft beer shop, grabbed some food and went back to mine. He met Craig, all be it rather briefly, but at least that's once less hurdle to have to deal with.

I am nervous for him to meet flatmates only because I guess what both parties think of each other matters to me. I just think I need to remember that neither party are going to dislike the other terribly if they know I'm happy. And that they are all good, decent people so should get on.

Anyway they had a Star Wars convo briefly so I guess it's all good :)

Nice to have Chris in my bedroom for a bit too :) we haven't spent a lot of time at my place, mostly his as he lives by himself. But having him in my room where I relax the most and feel the most comfortable feels awesome. I mean we just ended up eating our tea and watch Johnny English but it's simple pleasures like that that I love :)

He is taking me away for my birthday. No idea where it's a surprise. The fact that someone is willing to not only care for me and help me but to make an effort to surprise me with something like that...it's very new to me. Awesome! But still don't quite feel like it's real.

Just going to sit back and let what happens...happen. Life is too short to over think everything and that is something I am terrible for doing.
