Shortest day

Today is the Winter Solstice. Who cares? Well I do, because it means that this is the shortest day of the year, and from now on the days will begin to lengthen as we head towards spring. Hooray! Light is life-enhancing and it means that winter gloom is receding.

Today has also been very dark and wet, but the upside of rain is the way it mirrors Christmas lights and enhances even a mundane High Street.
