Dolly and the glass bottles

When I was a kid there was nothing better than taking the glass bottles back to the shop to spend on sweets! Back in the day, the bottles used to be worth 20p each, now it's 30p, a veritable fortune! The bottles are returned, washed and reused, although on the 31st of December, Barrs will no longer be taking the returns and the bottles will just go in with the glass recycling! We only buy the glass ones occasionally, so we've been saving these for a while, this haul was worth a whole £3.30! I think it's sad that they're stopping the returns, kids will never know the joy I did when I was young!
