Early Daffs

Returning from delivering the local Christmas cards I came through the park to see if, after all the rain, there was any water in the pond.
Sadly, there is little more than mud so I think we may have to give up on ever having a pond with a regular supply of frogspawn, heron and resident ducks as in olden days.

On the other hand, the bulbs are well in advance of their usual development, Ramsons just beginning to sprout and these daffodils, which are the rejects from the gardens close by, have made an early start.
