Reflecting and remembering

Words from one of my friends: "Remembering those lost to us and those travelling their own way........ looking forwards at the turning of the year .... waiting for the sun to come back."

She reminded me that the Solstice is almost upon us.  I was thinking that  there's something in the air which, to me, feels like the world is preparing to curl up for a short while before the next year begins.
