MonoMonday (U is for Uplifting Spirits)

MonoMonday theme: Celebrate

I'm totally cheating but sometimes it is allowed. This mono is very noticeably not totally mono! But as it is the 100th MonoMonday I've decided to choose the biggest celebration of 2015 which was The Referendum on whether to allow Same Sex Marriage - a truly remarkable moment for Ireland on several levels. Here's the cafe I passed on the way to vote. There was a wonderful feeling that day of quiet but determined subversion and revolution. By that day, these little signs of support had crept into almost every shop in some form or another. I regret not taking a photo of the lobster in the fish & chip shop, he was wearing a Vote Yes badge  And that evening and the next day, the celebration and togetherness in the country was only comparable (in my lifetime) to Italia '90, the first football world cup that Ireland qualified for. 

"Ta" means yes!
