Feeling Fireworks

My partner Kathy is on the mend after a serious fall. Her mom came by today with her grandson, Kathy's soon-to-be 5-year-old nephew, with a get-well banner.

Kathy is sore, bruised, and not wanting to take on much activity yet, but she is keeping herself busy with writing. Thanks to everyone who has offered their prayers and expressed concern. We're grateful to have many people in our lives who share such loving support.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, Independence Day in the US, but I'm not sure we will be seeing many fireworks, because dry, fire-threatening conditions are banning much of these pyrotechnics. Kathy, I don't think, will mind missing such displays; she still remembers the flashes and stars she saw on Sunday when she hit her head.
