The Darwin Museum - Janet
I have three jobs today. The first being to photograph eminent zoologist Professor Steve Jones at the Darwin Museum, UCL for the Sunday Times.
I get there early to do some test shots and find Janet, who I originally assess as a scholar because she engages and chats to me knowledgeably.
However it turns out that she is an untutored zoological illustrator, and a very fine one at that.
After a chat she shows me her work and gradually allows me to photograph her in a more revealing way. Starting with her head down she finally raises her chin for the camera.
