Old Friends

Our friends Mart & Elma called in for our annual Christmas catch-up at lunchtime and, talking about old times prompted me to look out this old photo of Mart (left), Tess & me standing outside the house I grew up in just before we set off for his marriage to his first wife, Cei. I was best man and Mart returned the compliments when we got married a couple of years later. Cei was our bridesmaid. We've all got a lot less hair these days!


Mart lived next door but one; the original photo was taken 40 years ago and Mart & I have been friends for over 50.

Aa always, we fell back into easy conversation, despite not having met up since January and were able to commiserate with each other about our football teams' woes: Mart's a Torquay fan and they're doing even worse than Yeovil!
