It's over. My year as president of my Rotary Club.

I can return to normal life. Be a normal person.

It has been fun in lots of ways. The trip to the top of Kilimanjaro to raise funds - £15k in the end. Visiting the projects in Tanzania we've been supporting. Our visit to our twin club in Bavaria. Giving my 15 minute dinner speech in German.

I won't miss the drudge of running the weekly club meetings, or the monthly council ones.

You get a medal when you've done your year. Typical Rotary. A more discrete lapel badge as well. It was a slow day on the photo opportunity side, so my wee solitary celebration is all I can offer.
