Blip deco

Constant rain today, wind, cold, yuk, makes photography virtually impossible. I hate this Summer. Must be the worst Summer in history so far! I think this is a fruit fly, hard to tell, amazed I got any bit of him in focus as the hazel leaf he was on was swaying like mad. He looked like an art deco design. I had to use the flash as there was no light at all.
As for Larry - brace yourselves:
Don't look now!
I feel totally exhausted today. Out this morning to see Father Adrian who did the service for my mum's funeral last month. Going to attend a requiem mass for her on 18th July. I doubt any of our friends will come, as it's 10am in the morning & no friends of ours are catholics here, but really, it's open for all. Shall wait & see! I had a nice dream about my mum last night. We had booked a holiday, started off as the usual panic dream, at the airport, something's wrong, forgotten things etc But mum stayed calm throughout it all, so I forgot my fears & she stood, smiled for most of the time, reaching out to hold my hand, with a sparkle in her eyes. I guess she's telling me not to panic, not to worry, she's there beside me holding my hand always xxx
EDIT: It's a species of Picture Winged Fly, family Tephritidae, several similar species, most larvae form galls in thistles (thanks to a friend on Twitter) :)
