a christmas tree leaf...

...from the poinsettia plant

unusual right?

it kinda looks like it's back lit - or something - at least i think so - but that's just my opinion - which sometimes doesn't count for much - yet in this case - i have done nothing to this little leaf - i found it on the floor - having fallen off the poinsettia plant - and when i held it up, i was struck by - the various lines in it - how it reflected the light

i wondered how i might replicate that - when i am so limited with the use of 1 arm - and the ability to hold my camera - is a major challenge - so i carefully balanced the leaf - in 1 hand against muted light - coming from one of my hallways - managed to snap 2 photos - cropped slightly this one which i thought - was the best of them - and there you have it - not very technical - then again do photographs need to be? - don't they say - less is more so for today, that's what's making for...
