December 19: lily of the valley

At 6:45 left Emma's ride to Kisakallio Sports Institute. She was invited to Finland's WU16 national team's camp for the Baltic Sea Basketball cup. 28 girls were invited, 5 of them are from Emma's team. 12 girls from the group will be selected to play in Finland's team in Tallinn in January.

It was a sunny day and it felt like a miracle! We enjoyed it by walking around Koukkujärvi lake. At one o'clock the sun was already very low. One picture in the extras shows the wet path.

We started the Christmas cleaning project in the house, let's see how busy (and tired!) we'll be before everything is ready.

In the evening we had traditional Finnish Christmas delicacies; mulled wine, gingerbread cookies and pastries filled with damson plum jam.
