Quiet time...

After a very smooth journey we arrived in Teddington just after lunch time. We expected delays for security checks on the Belgian-French border, but there were none. At the tunnel the border checks were a bit stricter than we normally see (we calculated, it's probably been or 50th crossing or so). But nothing that really impacted journey time.
This afternoon we walked along the river to Kingston, where the streets were crowded with Christmas shoppers (thank goodness, we finished that already). When we came back to the Lensbury the girls went swimming (what else?!) and Bert and I sat in the library to catch up on the papers and start our holiday books!
