A very yellow ladybird

I needed to restock the birdfeeders and had decided I would at least try to clean up those windows where the squirrels have been visiting. While clearing that windowsill so I could get to the windows I spotted this little critter, I've never seen a yellow ladybird with white spots before. It was very busy crawling up and down the window so it's not quite as sharp as I would want it and obviously I didn't clean the windows where it was crawling. Isn't it cute with its big white spots and its seemingly transparent shield? Have been Googling to ID it, I think it's an Orange Ladybird-Halyzia sedecimguttata

They eat mildew and reside in ancient woods, well there's plenty of mildew here and yes, here in Belgium we do live on the edge of an ancient wood.

Meanwhile I have not yet found the hooks to attach half of our Christmas decorations to the tree :-)

Thanks very much for your kind comments, stars and even a fave for yesterday's red tulip with bokeh :-)
