New/old phone box.

For many years, the village phone box, disconnected and unused, slid into decrepitude. However, the whole village got together and organised a replacement. This reconditioned box is not connected and is just for show. MaggieD's Mum has for a long time now been planting and tending a small flower garden round the old box and will soon be preparing for the 2016 season.
I just wonder how many of our younger generation are aware just how important those old boxes were in the pre-mobile phone days!
