Him with the Big One
One could be forgiven for thinking that this was September rather than December with the temperature soaring into the teens, making it feel more like Christmas in the Mediterranean than here beside the wintry North Sea.
We braved the town to buy a small present for the baby of our favourite waiter at Peter's Yard.
It wouldn't be Christmas without the Sally Army band brass ensemble setting up camp in Princes Street and entertaining the shoppers with carols.
His Lordship was very happy to give a donation towards their charitable work while I blipped 'Him with the Big One'.
There is a slight hiatus in the Dower House over the weekend with things seemingly under control until Wednesday. The presents are wrapped, the Christmas menu is sorted and we can relax. Famous last words indeed!
