Turning Leaf
Turning toward the warming winter sun while keeping its back to the cool breeze, the last of the apricot leaves hangs on for as long as it can. Our earlier than normal cold snap forced everything, including my apricot tree, to go into sudden winter mode. The apricot turned gold overnight and shed nearly all its leaves within a week. It was a beautiful sight, but I like the look of its red-barked, barren skeleton, too.
