Joe's Cup

I was out running (slowly) over and around the Anglezark moors, where I came across the remains of Drinkwaters Farm.
There is a natural spring very close to the track here, and generations of farmers and fell runners have quenched there thirst here.
One such chap was Joe. a local fell runner who regularly toured these moors sometimes doing 40 miles in a single session.
There is a plaque and a hidden cup, fitting memorial to Joe Whitter (1939-1991) A member of Wigan Pheonix.

A slow day out full of wonderful distractions, and I didn't get wet.
I got muddy, but not wet!
