Home at last!

Today an unusual amount of people have offered to help me on and off public transport, i'm very grateful in my weary state! The taxi driver pulled up right outside Bath Spa station and the platform conductor (fat controller) loaded my case on the train for me. Got to Baker Street and started huffing and puffing hope to catch the attention of a generous passer by to help with my case. I get a tap on the shoulder and a man with two black eyes holding a can of Red Stripe, swaying slightly offers to carry it. I accept. He hands me his Red Stripe and other tinnies in a black carrier bag and staggers up the stairs slowly but surely much to other commuters annoyance. 'Which platform do you want it on' he slurs and I tell him and he delicately places it down. Never judge a book by its cover is the moral of that little anecdote! Ahh almost home and I'm expecting dad to greet me with a glass of proseco and a red carpet rolled to the car door!
