Also started Alfie on Cartrophen injections. Recommended by the dog groomer yesterday and not by the useless vets we used to go to who instead preferred to prescribe something more expensive and with many more side effects. He's got to have 4 injections over the next month. Fingers crossed it'll help him. Vet said she'd had really good results with it in the past.
