Flood Aftermath

I did the 'big shop' this morning - hopefully the last before Christmas (apart from collecting some pre-ordered stuff on Christmas Eve). It was surprisingly quiet in the supermarkets.

Then I took Finlay out - and we saw loads of pheasants so he was a real fidget wanting to get away and chase them.

After lunch I went out to post our Christmas cards then drove on to Tadcaster to see the state of the river after the recent rain.

Water levels have dropped a bit, but there is now a huge island of logs and rubbish wedged under the bridge. It smelt terrible! There was a life preserver ring, a traffic cone and a large gas canister all stuck in there!
