São Paulo - our last stop in South America!
We made it! We are at the end of part 3 of our trip!
Part 1: 1 week in Puerto Rico
Part 2: 2 months in Central America
Part 3: 6 months in South America
We are here for 2 nights before we fly off to Canada to meet Jess's family for a white Christmas! If you asked us 2 weeks ago if we were ready to leave South America we both would have said no, but something has shifted since then and we feel ready for the next part of your trip.
São Paulo is known as the concrete jungle of Brazil with 11 million people living here. On the day of arrival it was the release of the much anticipated new Star Wars movie. As most of you know Cameron is one of Star Wars' biggest fans. This I knew, however the last 6 months in the lead up to this movie I have endured several pep talks on Star Wars and its history, watched trailers and documentaries and read lots of articles as Cameron shared his excitement with me! I definitely class him as obsessed and me more interested in his excitement.
Luck was on my side as the midnight screening was sold out so we went at midday the next day. Cameron, dressed in his Star Wars shirt, underwear and thongs, couldn't wipe the smile off his face and excitement in his eyes if he tried! Surprisingly, I actually loved the movie, it was really good and quite funny! Needless to say Cameron thought is was the best thing he's ever seen :-)
