Unbelievable!

I was amazed, when my work colleague, showed me a text today, with a photo of Poppy attached. His wife, decided to phone up the rehoming centre to take Poppy, he isn't happy.
Amazingly, a short while later, at 3.10 pm, his wife appeared in work, to get money from him to pay for Poppy & she had to be in Monaghan, by 4.00pm to collect her. I was speaking to her & she had no assessment to see if they were a suitable home for Poppy, they have never owned a dog before, she didn't have anything organised , no lead, dog bed, bowls.
I don't believe they know how much attention Poppy will need.
I felt it is unbelievable, that they don't pre-vet the homes & I wonder how many of the re-homed dogs find truly suitable homes & don't end up being re-homed again.
I await an update tomorrow
