I don't exactly curse the darkness, but I really miss daylight for reading and knitting and sewing. At this time of year, when there aren't even a few hours of brightness in the conservatory to work by, I hate trying to see in the glare of normal lights that throw shadows everywhere.
Today . . . a big parcel arrived.
An early Christmas present.
A serious light.
And it certainly is serious light - magical. Suddenly it is like bright daylight. Joy!
It didn't come cheap though! Significant that in the paperwork that came with the lamp is another quote:
The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price.
