Merry Christmas Mr Marx

The friend we were staying with lives just round the corner from Highgate cemetery - where amongst others (Douglas Adams, Malcolm McLaren, George Elliot, Christina Rossetti, Jeremy Beadle!) Karl Marx (and family) is buried.

I had to ask myself how he would feel about people having to pay (although it is a very small amount) to see his grave and why someone had left an orange for him; was he s big fan of oranges??
