Oh when the Saints...

An enjoyable Saturday morning watching my niece play football in a junior Southampton Girls & Ladies F.C. (Saints) team. They won 1-0 despite some tough opposition from Wyvern.

Apparently there are some 1,500 girls playing for 20 clubs in the Winchester and District Girls Football League. There were four or five matches being played at any one time at the Garrison Ground, Winchester.

It also gave me an opportunity to try out my new 'cheap and cheerful' Tamron AF 70-300mm Di LD zoom lens. I had watched a pretty scornful review of it on YouTube so my expectations weren't high, but I was very happy with the results, given the price (unlike my blip most of my shots were in focus!).
