PGA Annual Lunch

Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley was the star attraction at today's PGA lunch in the Glasgow Hilton.

Interviewed by Dougie Donnely the skill of McGinley in man management and as a sports strategist came to the fore.

McGinley's preparations commenced a year in advance when he persuaded Sir Alex Ferguson to act as mentor. Ferguson agreed but strictly on a confidential one to one basis. That was until the Tuesday night of cup week when he addressed the players and caddies immediately before McGinley's own warm-up speech.
