Stack of chooks

This family of wooden hens normally sit in a row on a cupboard top in the kitchen of my flat. They are a relic of my daughters' childhood and I've always loved their bright colours and simple design. Not very Christmassy though...

I was over at my flat dumping stuff prior to P's return on Saturday, and also baking a batch of shortbread to take to friends Anne and Drummond on Friday.

The dvd I've been waiting for arrived in today's mail - The Lady in the Van - and although I saw the film in the cinema, I can't wait to watch it again.
