Bahrain National day

So mom-n-law and I decided to go and visit the BIC and walk around and then enjoy the fireworks.  National day celebrations were happening out at the race track!  We left at 4.30 and thought we would do the 1/2 hour ride no problem.  Enough time to explore and then stay for the fireworks.  Well 2 1/2 hours later we finally got there.  as we got out of the car at 7pm we were welcomed by the fireworks.  They were right above us and quite spectacular! We then proceeded to walk towards the entrance where we were amongst 100's trying to get tickets and then long queues trying to get in.  We promptly turned around and headed back home. So much for our National Day celebrations
