'It's My Mother's Birthday Today...'

My late dad was fond of singing this line whenever it was anyone's birthday.
I do it with my own kids now and they burst into song with the next line: 'I'm on my way with a large bouquet...'
Today would have been my mum, Flora's, birthday.
She always complained about having a birthday just before Christmas. She was a mum, a primary school teacher and a minister's wife so there was always something on that day/night!
This picture always makes me laugh. I used to have it pinned on my wall in my London flat. I think it was taken the day my dad retired.
Happy birthday mum. I wish you were here to regale us all with your uproarious, unforgettable, laugh. X
