The Repulse Bay
Highlight of today .... Afternoon tea at the Repulse Bay. It was a rather belated celebration for a friend's "significant" birthday, and the tea was a gift we'd given her to enjoy with whomever she wanted, and I happened to be lucky enough to be included, yay! The venue, The Verandah, holds special memories for the birthday girl, it's a colonial building that had its heyday in the 50-70s. Still has oodles of charm and a favourite venue for bridal couples.
A very pleasant time was had and afterwards, we hit the Christmas pop up shops that set up at the little shopping precinct there. Needless to say, not too many of us walked away empty handed ;-)
Then a mad rush, in traffic, back to Central to attend a choir recital by the Choir of Gonville & Caius College from Cambridge. A truly magnificent evening again of listening to the beauty of the human voice singing in harmony. Very grateful to friends Elizabeth and Roberto for thinking of us to share that event with.
Fabulous day :)
P.S. Picture of the four of us taken by an 8yr old!
