TinyTuesday: In a Nutshell

This tiny mouse, snugly tucked into a walnut shell, has been gracing our Christmas trees for over 40 years.  My high school friend, Marie, made it for us for one of our first Christmases and we have always loved it.  It's the first ornament I look for when we decorate our tree.  When the Christmas theme for the TT challenge was announced, I knew this would be my blip today. :-)  Thanks to WWombat for hosting the challenge this week!

In my extras you can see that our "2 to 5 inches" of snow that was forecast turned into 9.5 (about 24 cm).  We spent a long time moving a lot of snow off our walks and driveway but didn't have the energy to do the deck....so no access to the hot tub. Too bad because we could use it now to ease our aching muscles.  I love it, though, and Miss Piper was truly in her element running in circles through the deep snow!
