Ready and waiting....

The manger is still empty you notice, as Jesus is not born yet.

We had the children's Christmas lunch today. Mayhem  pretty noisy occasion with music, crackers and general exuberance. Then I did an hour of outside duty in that 'not quite' rain and was kept on my toes by the enthusiasm of some groups!

This evening we sang carols at the home of one of our church members, a mixture of the traditional and the secular, and were served with mince pies and sausage rolls afterwards. I didn't over indulge! This nativity scene was in the reception area of the home. 

Today I received a three layer box of Thornton's chocolates, a gift from my young Danish friend, and a very lovely card from his parents. So encouraging to read.
