BIRD OF PREY

This photo is a very stark reminder that, beautiful as they are, our hawks are birds of prey.

I love watching them soar with the wind under their wings, bright yellow eyes watching everything you do, and never letting you get close to them. This was taken about 150m away from the bird, I pulled up, got out of the car took one photo, took one step forward and off he flew.
