La famille

We visited the photo exhibition "La famille" at Centre Céramique in Maastricht today.

The black-and-white photographs of Alain Laboile fascinate immensely.
The photographs are of his children and an idyllic life outdoors.
Laboile's children are playing in the river behind the house, in the self-built bamboo forest, with old car tires, with frogs, the many cats and even a fawn.
Laboile and his wife have six children, growing up in the countryside, forty kilometers south of Bordeaux "at the edge of the world" as Laboile calls it.

This exhibition was really worth visiting, we enjoyed it and it was an eye opener for the way of taking pictures..
