A few stories in a few inches of space.
Once again no actual pics today, so I took this and will share a few anecdotes.
The plush doll was the mascot at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. I'm excited for this year's London mascots, but those one-eyed things aren't nearly as cute as the Fu Wa Wa, as the Chinese call them. Anytime I feel sad, I like cuddling with him.
The copy of Madden 12, I actually won from a Great Clips photo contest last year. I don't have an Xbox, but I've played it with friends a few times. It's a fun football game.
The Appleletters, you might know it as Bananagrams or Speed Scrabble. It's good to exercise the mind. I also like Words With Friends on iPhone. Webster still sends me the word of the day to my inbox haha.
The books are a boxed set I bought from the Troy Public Library basement three years ago. I volunteered there every Sunday for almost a year, and in the process I found a lot of good books. This set includes Mark Twain, Edgar Allen Poe, and Herman Melville. But I'm still reading the Hunger Games trilogy for now haha.
The photo is from the auto show. I used to go every January with my parents, who are both engineers. Those were my first tastes of Detroit and the auto industry. Since those days, I've always had an interest in cars. There was a NASCAR phase. I'm in Detroit now, in the health insurance industry, but there's the automotive spirit all around. And this all ties in past, present, and future. Or something like that haha.
Peace.
