Despite leaving the house about three hours later than planned I managed to catch up with some bicycle-people at Roseburn on their tour of the various bits of cycle-facility affected unfavourably by the tramworks. The wingpiglet went to sleep as expected before I'd reached the Chancelot Path on the way out and remained asleep until Haymarket Yards, thereafter being mostly peaceful though markedly more shy than usual.

The tramworks have taken so long so far that their effects have been sort of spread out, though every major city-centre traffic-re-route has been fairly noticeable, though quickly absorbed and accommodated by anyone who needs to get through or round them. Whilst the threat of permanent loss of the Roseburn Path doesn't look too high at the moment the south extremity is still currently blocked along with a series of other examples of poor planning, not-joined-up thinking, laziness and motor-centric-pandering numbering more than there are letters in the alphabet. It seems at its worst at the moment as number of existing cycle facilities have been hobbled or made non-facilitating, affecting both major north-south and central-west routes.
