Penguin Island, Perth WA

A short ferry ride takes you across the sandbanks to the Penguin Island where you can see conservation in action. The fairy pegiuns, pelicans, sea lions are a few of the habitants on this tiny picturesque corner of the world.

When the tide is out people say you can walk from the mainland to the Island. However, with the changing currents and winds more rescues have taken place than the hourly ferry crossings not all have been successful! So if you ever find yourself in paradise please take the ferry ;)
