Iconic .....

We went back to Conowingo Dam in Maryland this morning .... starting out earlier this time.  We were up with the sun (see 1st extra) and got down there around 9:00 am.

My second extra is not a good shot technically as it was taken when we first arrived at the dam and it was still quite overcast and dreary making the lighting very poor.  It shows a juvenile and an adult eagle fighting over a fish that the juvenile had caught ..... he won in the end. 

Unfortunately, this was the only action we saw all day!

However, we were lucky enough to see this beautiful eagle sitting up in a nearby tree for the entire time we were at the dam.  Most of the time she just sat there observing her surroundings.  But at one point she opened her wings and held them open for a while. 

My third extra was taken with a lens doubler that R had recently purchased.  Unfortunately the doubler is  pretty much manual focus and I suck at that!
