And...They're Off

When I pulled into the national cemetery, there was a pair of sand-hill cranes to my right. I parked my van, and snapped a few shots. A groundskeeper waved his hand, and pointed behind me.

Oh my, it was a "herd" of 17. I left the couple, and went to the greener pasture. While they didn't let me get very close, it was still a thrill to see that many, although I couldn't frame them in front of the gravestones.

They finally talked and squawked amongst themselves, and decided to leave the cemetery.

I put a couple of pictures in the extras. Most of the graves at the cemetery have a wreath in front of them, but that is a story and picture for another day.
