Tony Richardson

Not a lot of people realise the the ex husband of Vanessa Regrave and the father of Joely and the late Natasha Richardson was born in Shipley. He was also a successful director in his own right.

There is this unassuming plaque on the wall next to the florist marking the spot where he spent the first 20 years of his life.

I get the feeling Shipley may be more proud of him, than the family is of Shipley.
