Mono Monday - Mobile

I'm afraid this silver jet plane is not Mobile, it  is a full sized replica of the Gloster E.28/39, the engine of which was produced in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.


This memorial is  in the middle of a roundabout and  is dedicated to Frank Whittle who is the inventor of the Jet engine.  He developed some of his first engines at the British Thomson-Houston works in Lutterworth.
