Santa Ride

The annual pre-Christmas London bike ride incorporated a first this year - it was compulsory Santa suits. It was great to be cheered through Trafalgar Square and I think I saw the Queen wave to us as we passed Buckingham Palace. 
Then it was on to Lambeth Walk where we sang the song. At the Gherkin we grouped round a wedding couple who were having their picture taken.
At Elephant and Castle there was another group - three times as many as us- all dressed as Santas and elves, prompting much cheering as we passed.
 A surreal experience for all concerned.
