London, Matilda the Musical and Bertie Carvel

I've had tickets for this for ages. It was Bertie's last performance as Miss Trunchbull. He was EXCELLENT (not unexpected!)

We managed to meet the previous Miss Honey (Lauren Ward) , the current Miss Honey (Haley Flaherty), Mrs Phelps (Melanie La Barrie), Mrs Wormwood (Josie Walker). We did also see Mr Wormwood (Steve Furst)

We were just about considering to leave when the stage door opened and there was a huge round of applause. It was Bertie. Katie managed to get a signature and a photo. She was very pleased!

Shame to see such an integral actor leave a show. I'm sure the next Miss Trunchbull will become as great :) But Bertie has been with the show since the start (I'm sure someone will correct me on that!

We all had a fantastic time! Can't wait to go again!
