the creases of life
8:30pm, ironing.
In many respects, I'm amazed that life is so full of juxtaposition that it doesn't just fall apart in a pile of mayhem and ludicrousness.
But then I remember that actually, juxtaposition can be helpful in curating the right kind of tension. Tension that says I can't make it on my own. Tension that says I am entirely God-dependant (see previous reference to falling apart). Tension that says we are without doubt the most loved and yet so often grace-bereft creatures.
As the fog rolls in outside, I am confident that there's definitely more than all the flapping about and nonsense in front of my eyes.
The ironing will be done soon.
